MOTO G5/G5 PLUS: MOTO GOES PREMIUM AT LAST!!

WMC till now has some really huge device releases, which includes phones from the resurrected brand NOKIA. With 4 phones coming to the world market.Samsung taking curtains off the TAB S3 as the company enters the tablet market after nearly 2 years. Motorola releasing the successor to G4/G4 Plus. Sony releasing XZ their premium phone, LG G6 and much more....
So today I will talk about G5/G5 PLUS phones in detail, predicting their performance in the real life.So read on!!
I will talk about G5 PLUS as G5 features similar upgrades.

WHAT'S NEW?

The phone is a great upgrade over
Moto G4. Though there is an upgrade in the processor from the Snapdragon 617 to the most popular processor in the 600 series "625" clocked at 2 GHz. Coupled with around 3 different ram options( 2 GB, 3 GB,4 GB).
This time the company has decided to give the phone the premium look other companies were cashing on. The phone now follows the Moto Z's camera style. The infamous fingerprint sensor is now much better with it's elliptical shape and now doubling up as a home button.
NFC capabilities are added now.

HOW BETTER?

Motorola this time has squeezed everything that is possible although an IR blaster is still lacking, but that should not be a problem to the majority.
The addition of NFC is definitely a thing as now users will be able to use Android Pay( in select countries).
With a new processor comes a new GPU, Adreno 506 gives the device a whole new level. Also, the battery efficiency of Snapdragon 625 is over 25% more battery efficient than 617 while providing more computing power.

OOPS! CAMERA!!

It has become a trend that every year the camera has been improving, this year too the camera has improved, the 16MP camera is now 12 MP ( Yup it's decreased) camera but, with more pixels and really good aperture size f/1.7. The camera should be able to take a better picture in low light conditions. The front camera pretty much remains the same.  4k recording capability is now added to the rear camera which was absent in the Moto G4 plus. Overall this department is now as good as the premium phones  and now can easily compete with most of them.

Extra stuff

The phone comes out with the Android 7.0 out of the box. The phone has a non-removable 3000 mAh battery. The phone cost around 19000 rupees depending on the model.

THE FINGERPRINT SENSOR:

Thank's to MOTO the phone now has a better fingerprint sensor which is now elliptical in shape and doubles up as a home button. The fingerprint sensor now supports gestures( we are expecting this to come up in G4 PLUS later) which lets the user completely forget about the on-screen buttons.

That's all for this post, we will come back to you with a new post on LG G6 announced at the WMC.
